1. We commenced distributions Saturday afternoon on schedule and ramped up gradually to smooth flow with 18 cards issued by end of day.  Gratitude to all that have made this happen.
  2. Total LAC flow is now at 3300 since opening.
  3. LAC will be closed on Sundays beginning next week.
  4. Residents’ Entry was opened to additional major fire impacted areas yesterday and will continue on a controlled basis until 29 October.
  5. As many in the below list reside in the above areas, our phone calls to them this weekend have come at a very precious time for many have visited their home sites for the first time and then proceeded to the LAC for Master’s Letter and assistance.
  6. We are ramping up to full speed today and tomorrow for distributions.  The supervisors of the LAC have told me that they are honored to be the venue for this dignified and safe event.  They feel as if they are now a small part of the Tzu Chi Family in a tiny way.
  7. Our fast action in dispersing aid has shown the LAC staff our sincerity.  Daily lunches from our Culinary Team have shown them our love.  The affinities keep growing.
  8. As a reminder, Sister Sally and I have commitments that cannot be broken beginning Monday late evening.  Sally departs for Taiwan and I must return to work in San Francisco as I have exhausted my vacation and personal time for 2017/18.
  9. Sister Sally returns on 11/2. I return 11/16.
