20171014 Tzu Chi Santa Rosa Fires Response Update

Even with thousands of firefighters and 12 helicopters + 4 air tankers, new evacuation zones announced this morning due to winds.  Santa Rosa, however, is returning to “normal” as evacuation zones have been removed and one hospital will re-open.  A LAC (Local Assistance Center) has opened today. https://youtu.be/FfB0_FU7lJo  

1. Tzu Chi has a confirmed table at LAC and will begin manning 10/15 at 0900-1900, 7 days per week for at least 2 weeks.
2. A volunteer sign-up sheet is being developed.
3. Tzu Chi Santa Rosa has DORM  SPACE available for at least 10 volunteers.  Hot meals from the onsite kitchen. LAC is 10-minute drive to Tzu Chi.
