It is the seventh day of the fire. New evacuation orders have been issued in Sonoma County and other areas.

If there is no critical need to the area, the public is advised to stay out of the fire area.

Local Assistance Center (LAC) has been opened today. It is located at "Press Democrat Building, Downtown Santa Rosa @ 427 Mendocino between Ross and 5th Streets". LAC will run between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm for at least two weeks.

Fire by the numbers:

Resources have been deployed,

  1. 880 fire engines + 200+ out-of-state fire engines

  4. 27 national guard aircrafts
  5. 11 firefighting helicopters + 34 federal firefighting helicopters
  6. 5 large air tankers + 15 federal large air tankers
  7. 2 DC-10 very large air tankers
  8. 6 military helicopters
  9. 2,100 national guards
  10. 425 law enforcement officers
  11. 196 CHP officers

There is about 3,600 population in 39 shelters. Commodities have been distributed,

  1. 40,320 meals
  2. 60,000 liters of water
  3. 2,000 ADA compliance cots
  4. 12,000 blankets
  5. 100,000 N95 masks
