Quick Talk about Tzu Chi
One-minute Tzu Chi Elevator Pitch
<<Purpose: Introducing Tzu Chi in 1-min by making 3 points – who we are, what we do, and most importantly, a call for action. Please note, this sample content is created for the Facebook Festival event in Menlo Park, you can change the verbiage in point 2 to promote local activities for another event.>>
Point 1: Who we are
Tzu Chi Foundation is an international humanitarian organization, in Chinese, “Tzu” means compassion, and “Chi” means relief. In the US, we have provided disaster relief after Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, and the nearby Santa Rosa fire. Our missions have reached 95 countries, including Haiti, Nepal, and around Syria.
Point 2: What we do
Locally in Menlo Park, we are serving breakfast every Sunday to the homeless at the Caltrain station, and supporting students at Belle Haven Elementary. Our chapter office in Silicon Valley provides free dental and medical services, if you want to know more about our services, here are some details.
<< Give detailed info on activities mentioned.>>
Point 3: Call for action
All of Tzu Chi’s relief efforts are made possible by a contribution from people like you and me. Please join us by making a donation, becoming a volunteer, or spreading the news about us. Thank you!
<< Take donation, provide volunteer form, and give a pamphlet>>
